LEMON (Citrus Lemon Oleum)
A lemon tree is a 3-5 m high, evergreen tree with white flowers. It usually blooms in spring. Its homeland is India and today it grows in all Mediterranean and Aegean Pleiades. It has a uniquely strong and aromatic odor. It has a sour and spicy flavor. It contains 90% limonene and 4-5% citral. In addition to these, it contains organic acids, pectin, folate, calcium, potassium, sugars, citric acid, flavone derivatives, vitamin A and high vitamin C.
METHOD OF OBTAINING: It is obtained from lemon peels by distillation method.
