Blackberry, whose Latin name is 'Rubus caesius', is from the rosaceae family. It is native to Central South and Western Europe. It grows in the Black Sea, Mediterranean, Aegean, and Marmara regions of our country. It is closely related to raspberry and strawberry. It is very difficult to distinguish close to 100 species from each other. It is a perennial thorny herb with four square stems and branches.
In June and July, white, pink, or red flowers bloom in umbrella-like clusters. It gives fruits of great taste with its taste as well as its appearance. Adorning the countryside with its distinctive appearance and scent, blackberry enriches almost all kinds of cakes, desserts, pastries and ice creams with its aroma. Delicious jams with an appetizing taste can be made with fruits, which are very rich in vitamins and minerals. It is much more than an ordinary fruit when used in desserts.
