Myrtle plant, whose Latin name is 'Myrtus communis', is from the heather family. Its homeland is the Northern hemisphere. There are many species that grow in cool and mountainous regions of the world. It grows wild in the heath and forest areas of the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Black Sea regions in our country. It is a perennial herb that never sheds its leaves in winter.
